The rocks are mainly composed of silicon, are soft, and are formed in cold seas and lakes. The earth is white or slightly yellow in color; it is a light, porous, and dusty powder. Natvita diatomaceous earth comes from deposits in Nevada, which determines its high quality. In industry, it is used as a filter, for example in food production. It can be used as a bleaching and dehydrating agent, and as a deodorizing agent. It is also used as an ingredient in cosmetics. Due to its abrasive properties, it is used as a body and facial scrub or as a component of toothpaste. Used as a peeling ingredient, it has a refreshing and cleansing effect and is suitable for sensitive skin.
