Table sweetener based on erythritol and steviol glycosides

Erythritol is a natural low-calorie sweetener. It is commonly found in fruits, vegetables, seeds, and mushrooms. Erythritol has a slightly sweet taste. Erythritol does not cause dental caries. Once ingested, it is rapidly eliminated from the body. It has the advantage of not having a laxative effect, even when consumed in large quantities. Erythritol is enriched with steviol glycosides. Steviol glycosides have been used in South America for hundreds of years as a sweetener. The sweetening power of steviol glycosides is 250 to 350 times greater than that of regular sugar. They are extracted from the leaves of a plant called stevia (Stevia rebaudiana). The leaves of this plant are placed in water for a week. The resulting aqueous solution is then purified and dried until steviol glycoside crystals are obtained.

Usage: Used like white sugar. It can be used for cooking, baking, or sweetening, thus reducing the calorie content of prepared foods.
