Nothing simpler:
What is hibiscus?
Hibiscus (Chinese rose) is actually ketmia, although in Poland the Latin name, hibiscus, is much more widely accepted. Hibiscus Sabdariffa, also known as ketmia or Sudan mallow, is an ornamental plant that has many health benefits but is also used in cosmetics and cooking. It is characterized by its high content of anthocyanins, polyphenols, flavonoids, vitamin C, and organic acids.
The role of hibiscus in our body
Hibiscus and its properties have been used for many years in traditional medicine. It is mainly used to cleanse the body of toxins, as it stimulates metabolism while having a mild laxative and diuretic effect. An additional benefit of this effect is the prevention of water retention in the body.
Other benefits
Regular use of hibiscus infusion has a positive effect on normal cholesterol levels, blood pressure in vessels, as well as a beneficial effect on liver function. The vitamin C present in this plant's composition has a positive effect on blood vessels, strengthening their walls, preventing them from breaking and forming varicosities. Moreover, as is known, vitamin C plays an important role in maintaining our body's immunity.
Product composition: 100% hibiscus, raw material of the highest quality.
Country of origin: Poland
Culinary applications
Hibiscus also has many culinary applications. Jams, jellies, flavoring sauces and desserts, or preparing juices and syrups are just a few ideas for using hibiscus. Hibiscus leaves can also be used in salads or to flavor meat dishes.
