Neptun Krill Oil contains fractionated Antarctic krill oil with a specific lipid profile. Krill oil contains Omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids: DHA, EPA, and phospholipids. Antarctic krill (Euphausia superba) is a 6 cm long marine crustacean. The DHA molecule (dohozahexaenoic acid) is an important component of human brain tissue, skin, and the retina of the eyes. Phospholipids are lipid molecules containing combinations of fatty acids, glycerin, phosphoric acid residues, and a nitrogenous base.
