BCAAs (Branched Chain Amino Acids) are the branched-chain amino acids leucine, valine, and isoleucine. These compounds are so-called because of the extended side chain in their chemical structure. They belong to the group of essential amino acids, meaning amino acids that are essential in our diet because our bodies cannot produce them themselves. L-glutamine is an organic chemical compound belonging to the group of endogenous amino acids. It has numerous biological functions, such as nitrogen transporter, glutathione precursor, and nucleotide synthesis. It is one of the substrates of the gluconeogenesis process.
