Field horsetail, also called horsetail, scouring rush, or shingle, is a plant that improves the condition of skin, hair, and nails and promotes hair growth. Its name comes from the characteristic cracking sound made by the fresh twigs of the plant when crushed. Horsetail contains a large amount of silica, making it a valuable ingredient for herbal teas. It is common in Poland and is harvested throughout the summer.
