Basmati Rice 1000g - VIVIO
Of all the rice varieties available on the market, the most popular is white rice. Individual types are distinguished, among other things, by the length of the grains. On store shelves, you'll find short-grain rice (pearl, most often used for sushi), medium-grain rice (arborio, carnaroli, vialone, lotto), and long-grain rice (jasmine and basmati). Another division is the classification of rice according to the degree of purification and processing of the grains. Here, we can distinguish brown rice, which is devoid of husk and germ, but has a dark covering, white rice (devoid of husk, germ, and covering), and parabolic rice (highly purified and additionally heat-treated, which gives it a characteristic yellow color). Basmati rice belongs to the long-grain group. Its grains are very long and coniferous, and once cooked, they even enlarge, are very delicate, and soft. Plain white jasmine rice has slightly shorter and rounder grains. The two types also differ slightly in calorific value. Basmati rice also has a much lower glycemic index (GI 58) than plain white rice (GI 109).
Rice primarily provides our body with carbohydrates. It contains a small amount of protein (about 6.8 g) and a negligible amount of fat. It is also characterized by a high starch content. Its two main ingredients—amylose and amylopectin—influence the structure of the rice after cooking. Basmati rice contains higher amounts of amylose, which prevents the grains from sticking together during cooking.
The dietary fiber in rice stimulates intestinal peristalsis and has a positive effect on the digestive system. White basmati rice is highly digestible, which is why it is an important part of the diet of people suffering from digestive disorders. According to scientists, white rice can also complement the treatment of kidney disease and high blood pressure (due to its low sodium content).

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
Basmati white rice requires proper preparation before consumption. The first step is to soak the beans in water. This should take between half an hour and even two hours. This will allow the grains to absorb some of the water and cook them evenly. When cooking, it is important to maintain the correct proportions. There should be one and a half parts water for one part rice. Boil the rice in salted water, bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and cook, covered, for about 10 minutes. During this time, do not remove the lid. Then turn off the heat, wait about 5 minutes, and the rice is ready to be enjoyed. This treatment will make the grains crumbly, soft, and aromatic.
White basmati rice has a wide range of culinary uses. It works well as an ingredient in both sweet and dry dishes. You'll use it to prepare a valuable breakfast, lunch, and dinner. In Asian cuisine, basmati rice is used in poultry, seafood, and fish dishes. Try the following recipes with basmati rice and savor the incredible finesse of its grains.
